|Democracy in Egypt is best characterized by the old cliche', "be careful what you wish for."If
elections were held today and if they were free, what are the odds that the Muslim Brotherhood
would win in a landslide? Secretary Rice and all who believe democracy to be the global
panacea need to consider that not all populations and cultures would vote for the same reforms
and candidates that Americans would support.
What if Pakistan could have free elections? Maybe Democracy isn't the answer for everyone
and it might be more prudent not to get involved.
